Hi everyone,

Of course our main activity will always be our weekly swim group at 9am on Saturdays (the Swim Around Yellow Poles group).

Just to let you know, the club also holds nine open water swim events every year and we compete in Masters Swimming Victoria meets and championships.

Our next swim event is our club championship – The 750m Point to Point Handicap Monday 13th March (Labour Day). In this event, the slowest swimmers start first and the fastest swimmers start last. Anyone can win.

Our nine annual swim events are:

1) Invasion Day Smoking Ceremony and 1km/2km Open Water Swim – 26th January.

2) Labour Day 750m Point to Point handicapped Club Championship – March holiday Monday.

3) Williamstown-Altona Classic 3.8km/7.6km – Best Sunday in April for swimming conditions.

4) Magic in May 1.8km Casual Swim to Pointy Rock and return. First Sunday in May.

5) Winter Solstice Sunset Swim – 750m – closest Saturday to 21st June.

6) Certified Icey Poles OW Swim and hot spa at St Kilda – last Sunday in July.

7) Spring into Swimming to Pointy Rock 1.8km – First Sunday in October.

8) Melbourne Cup Day 1km/2km Swim to Jawbone Marine Sanctuary – First Tuesday in November.

9) Summer Solstice Sunset Swim – 750m – closest Saturday to 21st December.
