Our annual club championship event is the The Point to Point Championship and is completely unfair. The slowest swimmers start first, then all other swimmers receive a handicap according to their ability.
Swimmers leave from the Crystal Point steps and swim to the eastern point, then back to the beach, either completing 1km or 700m, again depending on their swimming ability.
All swimmers get a raffle ticket and you can purchase extra raffle tickets for $5. There is always plenty of great prizes and not very many tickets.
The winner of the Point to Point Championship receives a chocolate bar and the glory that comes from being the club’s Williamstown Point to Point Champion for 2022.
This will be a BIG EVENT. There are limited places and we will say NO, the event is FULL when it’s full, so get in early. If weather cancels this event, the backup date is 9am Saturday 12th March. The attached pics are from last year when Jose won the Championship and is therefore the reining Williamstown Point to Point Champion.
